GITE / PISCINE ATYPIQUE LUBERON AVEC VUE PANORAMIQUE DANS OLIVERAIE 1 HECTARE PROCHE GORGES DU VERDON
4 guests 50 m² 43,8352 N 5,7910 E
In the heart of a century-old olive grove (1 hectare) on a hillside, just 5 minutes from MANOSQUE, in complete tranquility (WITH NO NEIGHBORS), filled with the scents of Provence and offering a panoramic view, come and recharge your batteries in this little corner of paradise in the land of Jean GIONO.
The price listed per night or per week is for 2 people; for each additional person, the rate is an extra 30 euros per day per person for 2026 and 40 euros for 2027. For safety reasons, children under 12 are not permitted (except infants). I will not accept any reservations without first speaking with the prospective guests by phone.
You’ll be staying in a charming, brand-new 50-square-meter cottage consisting of:
- A living room/bedroom with a fold-out bed (A REAL XL BED, 160 x 190) featuring high-quality bedding, and its own bathroom/toilet.
- A bedroom with one XL bed (160 x 190) (high-quality bedding) and its own bathroom/toilet.
This cottage can comfortably accommodate two couples without any feeling of crowding.
You’ll appreciate how cool the cottage stays in the summer (20–22°) thanks to its location on a lower level. It features skylights that let in natural sunlight, windows, a kitchenette (sink, stovetop, refrigerator), a TV stand, and storage space.
THE HIGHLIGHT OF THIS UNIQUE RENTAL is its outdoor space. You’ll enjoy days spent in the shade with a gentle breeze under the large arbor (7 m x 3 m) near the pool, with its panoramic views, the large, fully equipped outdoor kitchen (stove, griddle, kettle, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine), and the evening terrace nestled in the olive grove, with views of the Verdon, the Valensole Plateau, Sainte-Victoire, the Hautes-Alpes...
You’ll be completely immersed in an olive grove of 300 olive trees with no neighbors in sight—absolute tranquility. At the estate, we produce our own organic olive oil using traditional methods just as in the past; I’d be delighted to let you sample it, along with the organic lavender honey from the hill.
The house is a restored 1860s cottage with an extension where you’ll be staying. The property is fully fenced, and you can park your car in a private, secure parking space. You’ll have the pleasure of spending time with our blue and white peacocks (a unique pair), donkeys, dwarf sheep, a dog, and a cat. You’ll enjoy hiking right on the hill (without needing your car), visiting the village of Pierrevert, and mountain biking.
You can visit Manosque and its historic center, L’Occitane with its fragrances and cosmetics, its market on Saturdays and Wednesdays, Giono’s House, the Carzou Foundation, the churches, and the Saunerie and Soubeyran gates—all just 10 minutes from town.
In the surrounding area, you’ll discover the landscapes of Provence, including Dauphin, Mane, Lurs, (charming villages), St. Michel and its observatory—where you can stargaze—Gréoux-les-Bains (a spa town), Lake Esparon (a natural wonder), and Forcalquier with its many artisans and Monday morning market. The AOC Banon cheeses, along with its renowned bookstore “Le Bleuet,” followed by the Verdon Gorges and Europe’s largest canyon—which you can explore by canoe or pedal boat—Moustiers and its porcelain, and the Pierrevert Golf Course. Then you can marvel at the Valensole Plateau with its vast, fragrant blue fields of lavender and its wheat fields.
In September, the “Correspondances de Manosque” festival will invite you to share in the art of writing and a passion for literature alongside some of the greatest writers. And in the Luberon region, you can hike through the ochre-colored landscapes of Roussillon, Gordes, Avignon and its festival, Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, L’Île-sur-la-Sorgue, and Orange and its Chorégies.
