Renting owner-direct, the original spirit
Vacancium is published by Alpium, a mountain holiday rental specialist since 2000. The principle has not changed in twenty-five years: the owner publishes the listing, the holidaymaker contacts them directly, and nobody takes a commission along the way. The displayed price is the owner’s price.
Holiday France
The catalogue covers the French mountains first — the Chamonix valley, Savoie and Haute-Savoie, the Alpine and Pyrenean massifs — with apartments, studios and chalets of every capacity. Sea, countryside and city destinations are opening with the same requirement: listings published by their owner and described precisely.
Booking with confidence
Each listing states the exact location, capacity, equipment and booking conditions — deposit, down payment, cancellation terms. The contact request is free and without obligation: you talk with the owner before any decision.
Frequently asked questions
- Why does the minimal commission change the price?
- Classic platforms add service fees on top of the owner’s price. On Vacancium there is a minimal commission and no fees: the displayed price is the one the owner set, and that is what you pay, directly.
- How does booking between individuals work?
- You send a request from the property page; the owner replies directly. Together you agree on dates, deposit and the seasonal rental contract — conditions are stated on each listing.
- Are the listings reliable?
- Every listing is published by an identified owner and described with its real data: location, capacity, equipment, conditions. Vacancium is published by Alpium, a mountain rental specialist since 2000.
- Which regions does Vacancium cover in France?
- The mountains first — the northern Alps, the Chamonix valley, Savoie and Haute-Savoie, the Pyrenees — the historic heart of the catalogue. Sea, countryside and city destinations are opening progressively.
