Based in the Hautes-Alpes and passionate about our mountains, we’re pleased to offer Chalet D: a 300-square-meter luxury retreat facing south, located in the sought-after hamlet of Sainte-Catherine in Vars. Designed to accommodate 19 people, this chalet offers exceptional amenities and breathtaking views of the ski area.

WINTER IN VARS: EXCEPTIONAL SKIING AND AFTER-SKI ACTIVITIES Enjoy a strategic location for your winter sports vacation, combining the tranquility of Sainte-Catherine with quick access to the Forêt Blanche ski area. The chalet is located 900 meters from the nearest slopes (Bois Noir chairlift). For your convenience, a free shuttle stops just 150 meters from the chalet and takes you to the slopes in less than 5 minutes (the Claux ski area and ski schools are 4 km away). Upon your return, the spacious entryway welcomes you with a boot warmer and a storage area for your ski gear.

130 M² DEDICATED TO RELAXATION AND RECREATION After a long day of skiing or hiking, the lower level offers an unparalleled recreational space. There you’ll find:

A heated indoor pool
An outdoor area (solarium) overlooking the mountains, featuring a wood-fired Finnish sauna and a 5-person jacuzzi heated to 37° year-round
A game room with a pool table, foosball, and a small lounge with a bar
A dance floor
A true private movie theater on the lower level, with a wide selection of films
LIVING SPACES DESIGNED FOR LARGE GROUPS Spread over 5 levels and heated by geothermal energy for gentle warmth, the chalet preserves everyone’s privacy while offering magnificent spaces for socializing. The 45 m² living area features a fully equipped kitchen for 19 guests (2 fridge-freezers, 2 dishwashers, an XXL stove), a dining room, and a fully glass-enclosed living room offering a panoramic view of the mountains like a living painting. A door opens onto the first terrace, furnished with a driftwood lounge set and a barbecue. For sleeping quarters, the two upper floors feature 6 comfortable bedrooms, finished with premium materials (stone and wood). A 7th bedroom is located on the living room level for easy access. Each bedroom has its own bathroom or shower room and a flat-screen TV.

A cyclist’s paradise: electric mountain bikes for the whole family, downhill mountain biking (Europe’s longest trail to Embrun, 32 km), and dozens of legendary mountain passes for cyclists.
At the crossroads of three valleys (Écrins, Queyras, Ubaye): hundreds of kilometers of hiking trails.
Water and nature: whitewater sports on the Durance River, natural waterfalls, and relaxation or water sports on the vast Serre-Ponçon Lake.
Families: tree-top adventure courses, an equestrian center, orienteering, via ferrata, and of course, the ping-pong table at the chalet.

Fully equipped: Wi-Fi, baby gear, laundry facilities (washer, dryer), raclette and fondue sets.
Meal delivery available (half-board catering or private chef year-round).
End-of-stay cleaning included (daily cleaning optional).
Linens included during the Christmas and February school breaks (optional the rest of the year).
We can connect you with certified instructors for your sports activities (skiing, mountaineering, fat-bike riding).
A small, friendly team available before and during your stay.
Practical Information: Rentals are from Saturday to Saturday during the season. Weekend rentals may be available depending on the time of year. Dogs are welcome (cats not allowed). We also rent 9 other chalets for 12 to 24 people in Vars and Montgenèvre. Contact us for your group!
