Chalet Ysopi is located between the villages of Saint-Jean-de-Sixt and Grand Bornand. Its location is ideal not only in summer for mountain biking and hiking, but also in winter for easy access to the ski slopes of Le Grand Bornand and La Clusaz.in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt you will find shops, bars and restaurants. For more choice, head to Grand Bornand, 2km away. Reach Geneva airport in 1 hour by car and the beautiful medieval lake town of Annecy in 35 minutes.Chalet Ysopi is south facing and sleeps nine people (six adults and three children). Recently renovated, it offers all the comforts you need for a great stay in the mountains. It includes a large living room with a corner sofa, a large balcony with garden furniture offering a panoramic view of the mountains and several parking spaces.
About the Ysopi chalet
The accommodation is spread over two levels. The living area is on the ground floor, while the four bedrooms are on the first floor. The fully equipped kitchen is both elegant and practical, with a bar. A French window opens onto the balcony. A French window opens onto the balcony, where you can enjoy your morning coffee while admiring the beautiful view and breathing in the fresh mountain air. The dining room also has a bay window that gives you access to the spacious terrace. Here you can enjoy an aperitif, prepare a barbecue or simply lie on a sun lounger to sunbathe, contemplate the view and relax.The cosy living room is arranged around a wood burning stove. The ground floor also includes a dedicated games room with TV and PS4 console, where the younger guests will love to hang out and have fun together without the adults.This is also the level where you will find the laundry room, ski and bike room and a separate toilet.Upstairs you will find four bedrooms. One twin bedroom and two double bedrooms, one of which has an en-suite shower room. There is another charming and very bright bedroom with three single beds. It is ideal for children. There is also a family bathroom on this level and the chalet has three parking spaces, one of which is covered.
The area
Chalet Ysopi is ideally placed for ski and snowboard enthusiasts of all ages and experience, as the resorts of La Clusaz and Le Grand Bornand are only a short drive away. A regular shuttle bus will take you to Manigod from these resorts. Aravis pass holders will then have access to more than 200 km of slopes. There are also cross-country ski trails, so non-skiers won't be bored. Nearby you will find an indoor/outdoor swimming pool, an ice rink and a cinema. Want to enjoy the scenery? Go sledding, snowshoeing, dog sledding or horse-drawn carriage rides. For a thrill, go to the Bun J Ride in Saint-Jean-de-Sixt.In summer, the Alps become a hiker's paradise. Between mountain treks and walks on the Glières plateau, you'll be spoilt for choice. Need adrenaline? You'll be in heaven! Paragliding, canyoning, climbing, via ferrata, mountain biking and white water rafting are just some of the many activities on offer just a few kilometres from Saint-Jean-de-Sixt. At the end of a busy day, children can let off steam in the garden, while adults can enjoy a quiet aperitif on the terrace, while watching the magnificent sunset behind the mountains
