Chalet Riparian

Chalet Riparian is surrounded by forest and bordered by two streams. You'll feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, when in fact you're right next to the gondola, and only 200m from the heart of La Clusaz!

Recently built, it can accommodate 12 people wishing to experience an exceptional stay. With skis on, it will give you access to more than 220 km of slopes in the Aravis. The bus stop is on your doorstep and restaurants, bars, shops and the ice rink are just a short walk from the chalet.

The landscaped garden offers a haven of peace with furnished terraces, built-in benches and discreet lighting. Everything is perfect for those long summer evenings.

With top of the range facilities such as sauna and jacuzzi, and practical facilities such as heated ski lockers, secure bike storage and laundry facilities, Chalet Riparian has all the ingredients you need for an unforgettable stay in the Alps.

IMPORTANT: located in the centre of the resort, once you reach the chalet, you will not need to use your car! The access for vehicles is via a private road with a steep slope. Therefore, in winter, it is imperative that your car is properly equipped (winter tires / snow chains 1) and your driving is insured on snow and ice.
The property

You enter the property on the ground floor. There is plenty of room to store your equipment, skis and boots in the heated lockers in the entrance hall. The laundry room is also on this level as are two bedrooms which share a shower room. One has twin beds and the other, for four, has bunk beds and an X box.

Go up to the first floor where there are three more bedrooms. One double with en-suite shower room and access to the terrace, and two further double bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, one of which can be arranged as a twin bed if you wish. These two bedrooms have access to the balcony, and one has access to a terrace at the side of the chalet. All rooms have their own TV, so everyone can watch whatever programme they like.
The wellness area is also on this level: it consists of a sauna with shower, a sheltered terrace with jacuzzi. Relax while watching the skiers slaloming through the trees.

Then head upstairs to the centre of the living area. On one side is the fully equipped kitchen with bar, large table and shelves. On the other, comfortable sofas, armchairs and coffee tables are arranged around a central fireplace and TV. You'll love being in this room to watch a movie, recount your day or plan your next mountain adventure. Steps lead up to the terrace and garden, to the back of the chalet, where you can watch the sunset and perhaps even prepare a barbecue.
The area

At Chalet Riparian you are ideally situated to enjoy the scenery, mountain sports and entertainment of La Clusaz.

The ski lifts are also nearby. The Aravis ski pass will give you access to 220 km of slopes and 95 lifts. So there is always a new place to discover. Cross-country skiers will be delighted on the nearby Confins and Beauregard plateaus.

Non-skiers will also have fun at the skating rink not far from the chalet. They can go to the cinema in La Clusaz, go sledging, snowshoeing, dog sledding or horse riding. For a moment of absolute relaxation, go to the outdoor heated swimming pool. Your worries will vanish among the snowflakes.

In the summer, it's impossible to be bored at Riparian. You won't need a car to enjoy the treasures of the mountain.

Hike or take a gondola ride to the Aravis pass and back down at your own pace. Other activities in the area include horse riding, climbing, via ferrata and paragliding. The mountains around La Clusaz are criss-crossed with trails, so go for an adventure!

The pretty lakeside town of Annecy is only a 30 minute drive from the property. Plan a day trip. The lake is reputed to be the cleanest in Europe and in the summer it is a great place to enjoy water sports, cycling, swimming or exploring the beaches on its shores by boat.

If you simply want to relax, sunbathe on the terrace or balcony. You can also go to the aquatic area of La Clusaz. Later, meet your friends and family for a barbecue in the beautiful garden of the Riparian chalet, while the sun sets behind the flower beds.

IMPORTANT: The access road to the chalet is very steep in places and precautions must be taken when driving down, especially in winter. It is imperative that your vehicle is properly equipped (winter tires / snow chains) and that your driving is insured on snow and ice. Although the road is regularly cleared of snow, we cannot guarantee that it will be clear when you need it (e.g. to leave for the airport). In the event of heavy snowfall, we recommend that you leave your car in one of the public car parks in the village and only take it to the chalet for collection and drop off of luggage/shopping etc. The private access road may only be used by holidaymakers staying at Chalet Riparian. They use it at their own risk. The owner accepts no responsibility for any loss or injury sustained as a result. ATTENTION: There is a stream on both sides of the property. Children should always be supervised by adults.
